Excavation Contractor in Mission, TX

RGV Excavation serves Mission and the whole Upper Valley. From Sharyland Plantation and the homes going up along Bryan and Shary Road to the ag ground out toward Palmview, we handle the land clearing, grading, pads and trenching that get Mission dirt ready to build.

Mission runs from established neighborhoods near the river up through Sharyland and out west toward Palmview, and each stretch works differently under the machine. The Sharyland side is filling in with homes and metal buildings on old farm ground; farther out toward Bentsen and Palmview you're dealing with brush, citrus and open acreage. All of it needs clearing, pad-building or grading before a slab goes down.

Excavation Services We Offer in Mission

  • Land & brush clearing — clearing overgrown lots, citrus ground and homesites of mesquite, huisache and prickly pear out toward Bentsen and Palmview.
  • Grading & site prep — leveling and shaping lots around Sharyland Plantation and Shary Road so slabs, driveways and buildings drain right.
  • Building pads & caliche — compacted pads built to engineer's spec for homes, shops and barndominiums across Mission and Sharyland.
  • Trenching & demolition — utility and footing trenches, stock tanks, demolition and debris haul-off across Mission.

Working Mission Ground

Around Sharyland Plantation, Bryan Road and Shary Road, a lot of the new residential ground started as citrus or farm ground, which means clearing and pad-building before anything else happens. Out toward Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park and Palmview the lots get bigger and brushier, and the work is more clearing and grading raw acreage.

Two things stay constant across Mission: you're going to hit caliche, and the ground is flat. The caliche dictates how pads get built and wears on equipment; the flatness means drainage has to be graded in on purpose, because water doesn't run off Valley ground on its own. We grade every Mission job with the next downpour in mind.

Neighborhoods & Areas We Serve

We cover all of Mission and the surrounding Upper Valley — including Sharyland Plantation, the Bryan and Shary Road corridors, the ground around Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, and out west toward Palmview. If you're not sure you're inside our area, just call.

Mission Excavation FAQ

How much does excavation work cost in Mission?

It comes down to the lot and the job. Clearing old citrus ground near Sharyland prices differently than grubbing heavy brush out toward Palmview, and a house pad is different again. We look at every site for free and put a firm written price on paper, usually within a day or two.

I'm clearing an old citrus grove — anything special about that?

Citrus ground is some of the easier clearing in the Valley — the trees come out fast — but the stumps and root systems still have to be grubbed out if you're building, and old grove ground often carries irrigation berms and low rows that need regrading before a pad goes in. We handle all of it as one scope.

Do I need a permit for grading or clearing in Mission?

Inside Mission city limits, work that changes drainage, ties into a city street, or sits in a mapped flood zone can need approval; plain brush clearing usually doesn't. Out toward Palmview and the county, different rules apply. We'll flag what your lot needs during the quote.

Which parts of Mission do you cover?

All of it — Sharyland Plantation, the Bryan and Shary Road corridors, the ground around Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, and west toward Palmview and La Joya. Call and we'll confirm your location.
