Trenching and demolition are the workhorse jobs on a build site — the dig that lets the plumber run pipe, the footing that lets the framer start, the slab that has to come out before anything new goes in. We do both with the right equipment and an operator who knows what's down there. Utilities and demo crews call us because we leave them clean work to step into.
What's Included
Most trenching and demo jobs are some combination of:
- Utility trenching — clean, straight trenches for water, sewer, electric, gas and irrigation.
- Footing & foundation trenches — dug to depth and width per the engineer or builder spec.
- Stock tank & pond excavation — sizing and shaping ranch tanks and small ponds.
- Structure demolition — removing slabs, sheds, old foundations and small structures.
- Concrete & debris haul-off — breaking and hauling concrete, debris and demolition waste.
- Backfill & compaction — closing trenches after utilities are run, compacted to spec.
Our Process
1. Walk the job
We look at access, what's getting trenched or demoed, where the utilities are, and what has to be protected.
2. Written quote
Firm scope and price — including how debris is handled and any haul-off fees.
3. Dig or demo
Right machine for the job (excavator, mini-ex, skid steer, breaker) and an operator who knows how to dig a clean line.
4. Haul off & finish
Concrete, debris and spoils removed; trenches backfilled and compacted if that's part of the scope; site left clean.
Why It Pays to Get This Right
A sloppy trench costs the next trade. Walls that cave in, depth that's off, lines that aren't where they're supposed to be — the plumber, electrician or concrete crew ends up fixing it on their dime, or yours. We dig to spec the first time, so the next trade walks into clean work and stays on schedule.
Same with demo. What you don't haul off, you trip over. We break, load and remove concrete, slabs, old structures and debris completely, leaving the site ready for what's next. And we do it without tearing up the rest of your property — careful access, controlled work, clean finish.

Trenching & Demo FAQ
How deep can you trench?
We can dig standard utility and footing trenches up to typical residential and commercial depths. Tell us what the spec is — depth, width, length — and we'll bring the right machine to dig it clean.
Do you call before you dig?
Yes — we file the locate ticket and don't dig until utilities are marked. It's the right way and the legal way.
Can you demo a slab or small building and haul it all off?
Yes. We break concrete, remove old slabs, foundations, sheds and small structures, and haul everything off so the lot is ready for the next step.
Do you backfill the trench after utilities are run?
We can. We'll backfill and compact to spec, or leave it open if the utility crew or inspector needs to see the line first. Just tell us what you need.
